Multidisciplinary students from HSLU Lucerne and architecture students from IIT Roorkee participated in a workshop to create a residence for the disabled community in Sristi Village Foundation.
The third part of a sustainable bamboo construction workshop extended beyond just the workshop to understand the culture and architecture in Indian buildings. Indian and Swiss students explored Bangalore and sustainable architecture in Auroville. They learnt also about culture and living style in India to create a residential space for 6 disabled people and the mother of the house.
The combination of Swiss and Indian competences made this an interesting workshop ending in the creation of a building to be used by the community.
Next workshop summer 2020
