The site is located in the western ghats of Kerala. The client wanted a studio apartment nestled in the forest, with private spaces for themselves as well to host guests.
The front façade is transparent to nature and the natural light streaming in could be controlled with the help of shutters. The hierarchy of privacy is managed by creating two levels. An external staircase separates the access to the two apartments. Controlled views of nature are created on the upper floor.
