IN:CH designed and developed customized lamps, chairs, beds, tables, curtains, and other products for a new regional context. Creating new products is one of the most exciting activities for any designer.
The project for which these were created is located in a small village district of Wayanad. We used a combination of local materials, local knowledge, local skills along with foreign influence, and energy.
As a first step into the project, the furniture and other products for the resort were designed. The concept behind this was that guests who used and liked these units could place an order and get the products delivered. Even the curtains were custom-designed and produced in a local textile cooperative in Kannur.
