The inhabitants of the adjacent communities frequent the railway station of Suberg- Grossaffoltern even if the neighboring settlement areas are not located along the railway lines. The design for the site was thus of prime importance in order to achieve a specific identity. The building caters to the functions of the railway station- rail lines, platforms, waiting rooms, etc. as well as a post office. Walls and planters are zoned along the perimeter, lending the site its unique expression.
