The IN:CH-HSLU Workshop 2017 was a two-week bamboo workshop in India on architecture, sustainability, technology. Participants were students from the Swiss University of Lucerne HSLU and students from various Indian schools. They were able to collaborate, learn and deal with unknown aspects. Achieving results in a community as an intercultural team was a great experience for everyone.
Learning to use bamboo as a building material was mediated by specialists in Auroville. Bamboo as a fiber material, as a plant and also that there are more than a hundred species of bamboo worldwide, became all aware. The theory was realized in the product of a building for an NGO near Pondycherry.
