Metro station Mumbai, India

The station is one among the 27 planned stops along the Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd Line of Mumbai. Metro stations today are no longer exclusively railway stations. They are intermodal transit junctions bringing together metro, bus, taxi, and auto rickshaws. These places are frequented by thousands of people particularly in India. Different commercial activities, otherwise found along the streets integrate with the building. Security-control requires filtering passengers as well as suppliers/ shopkeepers.

Generally, the metro stations must be integrated within the urban context. For example, the metro station is located in a green zone. It lies in the square Ville Parle near Juhu in north Mumbai and connects two parts of the city with each other by means of a bridge. It blends naturally into the urban and landscape or the built vs. un-built scenery due to its green facades. In other words, the metro station blends in with a part of the park and the park, for a short while, blends well with the metro line.
