IN:CH- SIA Workshop 2015

With vast teaching experience in Switzerland and India and knowing about the needs and demands in India, IN:CH developed a contemporary market and practice-oriented training model.

The Swiss Society for Engineers and Architects (SIA) backed this endeavour and provided immense support to make it happen. An important event before the development of such a campus was a multi-day workshop at IN:CH in Bangalore with renowned personalities from Switzerland and India. As preparation, a feasibility study was prepared at IN:CH on the basis of which, a new building model was created.

The various collaborators for this project were from both Switzerland and India- Daniel Meyer, Dr. Lüchinger + Meyer and Vice President SIA, Manjunath BL, Dalia Schipper (Skillswork), Chandra Kumar (Skillsonics), Stefan Waldhauser, Waldhauser + Hermann AG, Amar Deep, Martin Joos (ADUNIC), Georg Leutzinger and the IN:CH Team members- Juerg Grunder, Ambica Ganesh and Romana Sander.

The aim of the workshop was to develop a building that would physically represent the concept of education in architecture/ civil engineering, a vocational school and training centre of sorts for the construction sector.

The strategy with both concepts for education and construction was presented to investors and owners of schools with the intention to find an investment partner or an institute partner.
